Academy Mission:

To educate students to become Responsible, Achieving, Motivated, and Self-reliant citizens, who are well-rounded and well-prepared for future success.

Established in 1954 Rancho High School is the second oldest high school in the Las Vegas valley.  RHS introduced its Academy programs in 1997, adopting the “school-within-a-school” model to promote cultural, social, and economic diversity. Part of a comprehensive high school, the RHS Academy provides students with rigorous and relevant learning experiences within the magnet programs as well as in the general curriculum. RHS challenges students with a wealth of Honors and Advanced Placement offerings,  Faculty and administration continuously monitor the academic needs of students to provide them with the best educational experience possible. RHS fosters student creativity and ingenuity through dynamic electives such as orchestra, theater, dance, band, choir, and art. After-school athletic programs and club activities address students’ social needs by providing a sense of community. In all its endeavors, the RHS Academy programs strive to educate students to become Responsible, Achieving, Motivated, and Self-reliant citizens.
